In today’s online watercolor class, the goal was to use colors other than the obvious ones. So instead of shades of brown, we used oranges, blues, purples, yellows, and reds. And they still look like peanuts!
On a whim yesterday, I decided to take 90 seconds to throw a random background on this carousel horse that I hadn’t finished. What do you think?
This looks like a cross between a bakery item, a pinecone, and a pork chop. But it is actually a conch shell. I learned I never EVER want to paint a shell again! Keep learning keep trying!
Better late than never, right! The month of May came a little sooner than I thought. Where did April go? Have no fear, a new month of watercolor classes is here! And this month’s theme is Things Like Shells.
Doily and wallpaper challenge accepted. This was the third week of April’s online watercolor class “Thursday Things.”

Week 2 of “Things Making a Comeback” is a quilt rack with a heart cut-out. A bit of a sketching challenge, but so good for our creative brain. Thursday Things online watercolor class never disappoints. Well maybe it did once or twice 😉
Our first week of “Things Making a Comeback” brings you a porch goose in strawberry attire. It’s not too late to get the recording of this tutorial. It’s a fun one!! 🪿 🍓 🪿
